Back to School
Project Name
Every year we collect and give out at least 1,000 backpacks to local kids. At our events kids are able to "shop" for their backpack and all of the supplies that need to fill it. We have also given out hundreds of uniforms, sneakers, toiletries, books and other things to make sure kids have a successful school year. To date Mari has given away over 20,000 backpacks.
Christmas
Project Name
Every year Mari begins collecting toys in January to prepare for her annual toy giveaway. This past year she was able to give away over $100,000 worth of toys to 800+ kids in Flint, plus coats. Mari has been doing her Christmas event since 2016, scaling it up in size yearly to include more toys, more activities and more resources for the community
